Common questions

Why didn’t my free space go up right away? Removed originals go to Recently Deleted in Photos and stay there for about 30 days. Empty Recently Deleted to get the space back now. With iCloud Photos, the space may be freed in iCloud rather than on the iPhone.

Some items say they are left alone. Press skips files it can’t copy without losing something, such as Portrait photos (the depth effect), HDR, and Cinematic videos. It says why on each item.

Can I undo a removal? Yes, for about 30 days: open Photos → Albums → Recently Deleted and recover the original.

Where are the smaller copies? In your library next to everything else, and in a “Press” album unless you turned that off in Settings.

I bought the full version on another iPhone. Open Settings in Press and tap “Restore a purchase”, signed in with the same Apple Account.
